Graphite compounds
Adjustable electrical
and thermal conductivity
Customized graphite compounds for plain bearing applications, EMI and ESD shielding and efficient thermal management
The specialists at Max Baermann produce compounds from graphite, expanded graphite and conductive carbon black for a wide range of industries. To suit each application, we develop an individual compound formulation with the required electrical and thermal conductivity.
This creates complex, freely designable and corrosion-resistant components that not only reduce production steps but can even functionally replace metallic components. Work with Max Baermann to produce graphite compounds for reliable plain bearing applications, efficient thermal management and precise EMI and ESD shielding.

Processing options and fields of application for graphite compounds
We process our graphite compounds into highly filled pellets using a co-kneader or twin-screw extruder; these can then be processed into high-performance functional components by injection molding or extrusion. The materials are used f.e. in power electronics, energy and fuel cell technology, pumps and mechanical engineering and lighting technology. Typical applications for our graphite compounds are shown below:

Corrosion- and media and chemical-resistant components for efficient heat transfer with complex geometries

Conductive housings for uniform heat distribution and protection of electronic components

Efficient heat dissipation for long-life LED luminaires and compact lighting systems

Fluid-carrying components for temperature control and cooling of thermally loaded systems

For high-conductivity bipolar plates in fuel cell and electrolysis systems

Functional components for self-regulating or geometrically adapted resistance heating systems
