Our technical plastic parts at a glance

At Max Baermann you receive technical plastic parts that are precisely adapted to the varying requirements of their later installation situations. We can manufacture the following in series:

  • Plastic components: these technical plastic parts consist entirely of plastic. Materials used include PA6, PA6.6, PBT, PPS, PC, PS and ABS.
  • Plastic composite parts: in these technical plastic parts, plastic is combined with another material or an additional component. Examples include parts made from functional compounds, multi-component parts and inserts or magnets that are overmolded with plastic.

Fields of application for our plastic components

Max Baermann develops and manufactures precise technical plastic components, multi-component plastic parts and hybrid components for demanding series applications, above all for the automotive industry. One focus is the targeted overmolding of functional inserts such as magnets or metallic components.

The design-optimized combination of different materials creates robust components suited to assembly. With brittle functional elements in particular, the plastic can be used specifically for mechanical stabilization, to absorb loads and to compensate for different material properties. With suitable component design, this also makes it possible to create systems that permanently withstand severe temperature cycling and demanding operating conditions.

In addition to hybrid components, we manufacture precise single-component plastic parts such as panels, covers, cable adapter housings and assembly aids. We also produce plastic inserts such as sleeves or pins for metal replacement, designed for cost-efficient, automated further processing at the customer’s site.

In doing so, we consider not just the individual component but its integration into the overall assembly and the later assembly process. The aim is robust, assembly-friendly and economical solutions with an optimized total cost of ownership.

Yes, Max Baermann also manufactures technical plastic parts with demanding geometries. These include, for example, complex-shaped plastic impellers for water pumps in the automotive sector. Which shape can be realized technically and economically is assessed on the basis of the component requirements, the material and the intended manufacturing process.

Yes, we can readily overmold magnets and other inserts with plastic and thus integrate them permanently into a functional element. The plastic f.e. can take on protective, joining, guiding or fastening functions. This creates plastic composite parts that can be fitted directly into downstream assemblies.

Yes. Where required, Max Baermann also develops and produces engineered compounds as the basis for the later plastic part. This allows us to coordinate the material formulation, the desired properties, the component geometry and series production at an early stage. Customers therefore receive the development of both the material and the resulting functional part from a single source.
