Max Baermann develops customized magnetic compounds for maximum geometric and magnetic design freedom in the production of functional components. Whether for robotics, automobiles, household appliances or technical pumps and motors, we match polymer binders and fillers precisely to the magnetic, mechanical and thermal properties your application requires – and can even provide heavy rare earth free solutions. We supply the custom magnetic compounds as ready-to-mold pellets or as near-net-shape components for sensors, rotors, actuators and other industrial applications. Processing options and fields of application for magnetic compounds

Magnetic compounds from Max Baermann are the basis for efficient sensors, rotors and actuators in automotive technology, robotics, automations, consumer electronics, power tools, pumps and more. To achieve this, we first process our compounds into highly filled pellets using a co-kneader or twin-screw extruder, from which we then form near-net-shape components by injection molding. The magnetic function is thus integrated directly – there is no need to glue magnet blocks in afterwards.

Depending on the application, we produce magnets with our magnetic compounds directly as single-, two- or multi-component solutions

  • as an insert solution for overmolding inserts such as shafts, bushings or metal cores, or
  • as an overmolding solution applying an additional magnetic layer to existing components.
  • As a single magnet for individual customer-specific in-house further processing by gluing or overmolding

Good to know: we also develop special compound formulations to obtain drinking water approval for your magnetic components and for applications with rapid temperature fluctuations.
